Location
San Martino is in the heart of Northern Umbria, close to the Tuscan border and easily reached by the main E45 dual carriage way.
The town of Montone is 5 minutes drive by car or it takes 15 minutes to walk. Here there are most conveniences, such as a cash machine, post office, bars, restaurants and small personal shops for provisions.
Umbertide is 10 minutes by car and is a much larger town, offering market days and a larger selection of shops.
Perugia is 30 minutes by car and is Umbria’s country town, it has art galleries, museums and some high class shops for the discerning shopper, it is a university town and as a consequence has more than its share of festivals including the now famous Umbria Jazz Festival in the summer. It has beautiful medieval streets and buildings.
